After a bit of research, I discovered that the way to fix it, once and for all, is Įvery time an app tells you to download a font, skip that dialog, but ġ. Only after about six months of this did I realise that clearly something is wrong with how these applications are downloading and storing these fonts in macOS Sierra. However, the fonts were unfamiliar to me, and I had not been paying attention, so I had not realised that it is the same fonts that are being requested, and downloaded, again and again. Then, after some time I launch the application again, and it asks me to download a font again. The application downloads the font, and I continue with my work. If you get this error while trying to (re)install Sophos Endpoint or even Sophos Home and in /var/log/install.log you see something like: 10:47:56-06 hulk Sophos Bootstrap 5051: SMESophosBootstrapAppDelegate.m:1656 System verified. Usually, they are fonts that I am unfamiliar with, but every time it happens, I dutifully say “Download”. Contact your computer system administrator or Sophos Technical Support for further assistance. Recently, since upgrading to macOS Sierra, I have noticed that many times when I launch Word (and, in some cases, some other applications such as ReadKit), it asks me to download some fonts.
